Sparrows Tension Wheel - Circular Tension Tool
Sparrows Tension Wheel - Circular Tension Tool
Available in Black or Brass - select from drop-down menu.
The long awaited Sparrows circular tension tool, with graduated markings allowing you to measure tension applied.
For Single Pin Picking, you can actually find the right tension for the lock you're picking, by using the measured gradients by raking it first:
- Insert wrench
- Apply average tension
- Rake lock
- Loosen tension
- If you hear pins click back into place, tension is correct
- If no pins click into place, tension is to hard, try again with less tension
- When correct tension is located, pick lock at that tension
These ingenious tension wrenches can be used for all manner of lock picking tools and techniques but especially lend themselves to highly-kinetic practices such as Raking and Electric pick guns.
Because these wrenches have two prongs, and the handling is so solid, using high-powered Electric Pick Guns and fast moving rakes is a dream, since you will not be fiddling around with a standard wrench every time it comes out, leaving you free to get on with the real job of opening the lock.
Circular tension wrenches are also an absolute boon for teaching lock picking. it's almost impossible to explain how much tension you're applying with a more traditional bottom or top of keyway tension tool. With a circular wrench where the tension is measured, you can actually see how much tension you're applying, meaning the student of lock picking can actually replicate the tension as they learn.
There's nothing quite as useful as having a variety of tools and techniques to attack your locks. If one doesn't work, try another. This robust and well-designed tension wheel adds another string to your bow, meaning more chance of opening more locks.
